Covid era I was 16, my first wifi tournament i entered i won in smash ultimate it was held in a small smash crew discord and i ended up winning a 20$ nintendo gift card (it was american so i couldn’t use it) They never asked if I had a LAN adapter I enjoyed improving ever since
I like to talk about FGC and how people got into it so i wanna ask this What was your moment that made you think "Yeah i can compete in this genre and play vs everyone"? For me its after i won fighting tuesday DBFZ In japan despite me having a very small scene! it meant alot

Got 3rd at Marvel 3 at Gamescon Canada I’m clearly sick with it, but I’m still fresh to tournaments in the game It was a good month-long grind, it was so sick to see how far I can go in such a little amount of time

This genre will remain smaller than most competitive videogames because when you lose you can only blame yourself and people can't accept that. No amount of accessibility will fix that. A big part of it is ego
