The cadets enjoyed the last parade night of 2023 with a boogie at the Christmas disco. There was lots of dancing and singing all evening. However, education is needed on the birdie song 😂 Thank you to the Royal Navy club for hosting and ex cadet Scott for doing the disco 😊

t was a lovely evening to bring the cadets, their families and supporters of the unit together for some Christmas Carol singing and presentations. Well done to all the cadets who took part by doing the readings. Thank you to Jez and Duke Street Church for a lovely service.

A fantastic evening last night at Clare Street Barracks for Petty Officer Cadet Horne’s investiture as the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Northamptonshire. This is one of the greatest honours a cadet can achieve. Congratulations on this achievement, have a brilliant year.

It was a fantastic turn out and a real pleasure to award so many amazing qualifications along with the Annual Trophies. Well done to all cadets for all your hard work this year. You all deserve this recognition for contributing towards the amazing year TS Laforey has had.

On Friday evening we held our Annual General Meeting and Cadet Prize Giving. We were honoured to have The Vice Lord Lieutenant, Morcea Walker MBE, the Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Stephen Hibbert and Mayoress Liz Cox join us for this important evening.

Cadet 1st Class Baucutt achieved a Bronze Medal in the 4.8m windsurfing class which is fantastic at his first National Competition. Team Eastern also came away 3 Golds and a 5th place across windsurfing, winning the overall trophy for the windsurfing too! Well done to everyone.

Our Open girls also had some really close races and after 2 second places and a first place they achieved joint second place, silver medals. Well done to everyone involved today from Eastern Area, great results overall.
