Twenty-six years ago, on Nov. 19 1997, a Ukrainian trident, Taras Shevchenko's ���Kobzar,” a yellow and blue flag, and the Ukrainian anthem were launched into space. They were brought along by Leonid Kadenyuk, independent Ukraine’s first astronaut.
