Dylan (Y4) explained to the children in assembly today about how his family is supporting a scheme to increase the bee population. They receive solitary bee cocoons that then hatch in their garden. #savethebee

Year 3 enjoyed their visit to Whitehall in Cheam (known in Tudor times as Cheyham). They experienced Tudor games and attempted to write using a quill and ink - quite a challenge!.#wearelearning

Y2 took a trip to the Florence Nightingale museum today. They were involved in a brilliantly interactive workshop which gave them a chance to dress up and also experience some of the artefacts from that time period. The children asked some great questions. #wearelearning.

In assembly today we thought about how skills we learn can help us develop the school values of Respect, Integrity, Growth, Happiness and Teamwork. Can you think of how these can be developed through table tennis? #wearelearning

In assembly today the children heard about the ‘resilient’ behaviour of a magpie that was desperate for a drink. We used a science beaker to show how the magpie adjusted the height of the water by dropping in stones.

Year 6 enjoyed their trip to Royal Festival Hall this week, to participate in ‘Orchestra Unwrapped’. Year 1 took a trip to the local church to learn more about the Christian creation story.

As part of our whole school celebration of Black History Month, EYFS and KS1 experienced a story-telling session inspired by the true story of Floella Benjamin. KS2 joined a workshop called Hidden Figures - learning the stories of black British people who have shaped our country.
