Remember when Halo Reach got rid of the Carbine and the Battle Rifle and replaced them with the DMR and the Needle Rifle? Or should I mention the countless other weapons that have been replaced over the course of the series?

Okay and what’s your point? The point myself and so many others are trying to make is Halo has always done this but now it’s an issue when 343 does it cause “number company bad”

I agree however this has been a issue the series has had since Halo 2. Every game gets rid of weapons and replaces them with new ones, that being said though I am all for more weapons in Infinite.
@NomadicAllo
I feel this was acceptable because it was Bungie who replaced wepons with new types and Reach turned out great. 343 with 4 and 5 dont really have a good track record and there replacing weapons doesn't go well but heres hoping.

the thing is they look like they belong in halo while the new shotty and pistol looks like they belong in another game. its all very subjective but we all have to look at the design and how it function in the sandbox for objective.
@NomadicAllo
Man, I miss the Sticky Pistol from Halo 4. And the Mauler from Halo 3. And remember when they replaced the Halo CE pistol with the one in Halo 2? And the Assault rifle with the SMG/BR? Ooh, when they basically replaced the Plasma Rifle by making a Plasma Repeater in Reach?
@NomadicAllo
I think you're forgetting that a lot of people didn't like the Reach DMR when it came out. Carbine was never coveted like the BR and was just a generic covenant version of the BR. Needles Rifle was cool because it was more than just a BR/DMR clone.
