I love physical PC games, so it was a very special treat to get a boxed copy of World of Goo from @roncarmel ! It's a small box but they went all out on the flaps :-)

I had to come back for one more. But that's the last one. I promise. Thanks to @TheRetroChanneI for some key information on the PSU!

I'm consistently amazed by Sayaka's channel: insightful repairs and great editing. I love seeing younger people inspired by old computers.

Another second channel video: I felt I had to go back and have another look at that C64 PSU and see if it was a problem with the PSU or the C64

What C64 PSU replacement would you recommend? Looking for something reliable but I'd rather not spend an arm and a leg on it. Bonus for easy US availability.

So yeah, sometimes retro electronics repair knowledge comes in handy in real life. To be fair, that model was made in the early 90s, so it was pretty close to my comfort zone :-).

I opened it up, cleaned it well, adjusted it a bit and. fully working piano! Not bad for a 2 and a half hour time investment.

So I drove over, picked it up, brought it home, and it sounded super quiet. To the point that you couldn't hear a thing over the keys, but the sound was there. I opened it up, first thing I do is look at the variable resistance of the volume control and. it's always maxed out!

I had been on the lookout for a Clavinova electric piano for the family, but they're pretty expensive. So yesterday, I see one come up for free about an hour's drive away. Something in the way it was described made me think that maybe it would be possible to repair it.

Low-key second channel video: Come hang out on a snowy afternoon while we look at some C64 boards, test them, and pull out a PAL one to compare.

Last week I picked up this system by the side of the road. Nothing too exciting, but the tiny VGA monitor is cute (and very portable). I know the Dimension 2400 is not very upgradable, but it could still make for a fun WinXP system.
