From this experience, I asked presenters how to pronounce their names and created this table. Yes, pronunciations URLs and written by Korean characters.
Two things I remember from presenting my paper at the conference: 1. A session chair who mispronounced my name, silencing the letter "J". 2. A session chair who arrived late and told me to end my presentation according to the scheduled time.

Here is a classic example of the stereotype. Riding a stationary bike while playing video games alone… Yep, that’s me.
There is a common stereotype that faculty don’t have a life or are not good at sports. But in reality, many of my faculty friends are incredibly social and fun. I also played in our school's basketball team and won the championship twice within our college. Faculty can hoop too!

#ICML2025 and classical music? Please come and enjoy the beautiful and powerful sound. The church has a famous pipe organ in Vancouver. I’m excited to hear how she will play Bruhns, Bach, Merkel, and Vierne on this instrument. And most of all—she’s my lovely wife.😉

Our ACL paper collaborated with Prof. JinYeong Bak @NoSyu was selected for panel discussions (only 0.8% of all accepted paper were chosen), in which we analyzed and revealed correlations between LLMs' values and risky behaviors (check it here: https://t.co/GAY5Ns5xAG?)

I do not know the meaning of the gesture in other cultures, but in my neighborhood, finger-pointing is blaming someone rudely. But, as a NLP researcher who is interested in cultural diversity, I learn about the cultural differences.
