Heaven is the biggest lie ever told to shackle people to religion and make the masses credulous pawns to enrich and empower kings, queens, politicians and other demagogues. The downside to belief in (nonexistent) heaven is loss of autonomy & voting for conmen like Donald Trump!.
@NoHolyScripture It is called Faith in the promise of a place called Heaven where we will exist in eternity in joy and love with all of the other faithful and our Creator. There is no downside to this belief. If we are wrong then our eternity will be no different than yours. But if true….

It’s telling that any slander I receive typically comes from those who claim to follow Jesus. Says a lot about how ineffective Christianity can be at fostering basic decency & moral integrity. Following one’s own conscience seems to be the safer option!.

Saviours were ten a penny!. By the time of Jesus, the idea of divine saviours, born under special circumstances, performing miracles, & promising salvation, was a recurring motif across cultures. The Jesus narrative fits into a well-established template of “savior” mythology.

Despite the dramatic biblical claims, there’s NO credible historical or archaeological EVIDENCE that Moses ever existed. No Egyptian records, no desert traces, no contemporary sources. Moses is best understood as a legendary or literary figure, not a historical one.

We have RELIABLE evidence for the existence of several people from Biblical times, like Hezekiah, Omri, Pontius Pilate, & Caiaphas. But not a SINGLE contemporary record, no writings or artifacts from their lifetimes, mention Jesus of Nazareth, or the Bible’s authors. 🤔🧐🤨⁉️.

How any educated, intelligent, thinking adult can still believe in the nonsensical, untenable, impossible Abrahamic god will forever baffle me. (No insult intended!). Walking the path of reality seems to me a far wiser, more moral and happier way of life.
