"People want status update meetings to be removed from the remote work equation" 'nuff said.
One of my favorite statistics: “…we found that meetings are costing companies between $43,008-$56,448 USD per manager every year and that people want status update meetings to be removed from the remote work equation.” @fellowapp 🤯

The future is already here. https://t.co/UIeTsA2VAY does this and so much more.
🟢 Presence: tools that provide an estimate of when you should expect a response will become big These will measure the tasks your team are doing and use this to set expectations, allowing teams to escalate more easily when necessary

@TheProductfolks Started using @memdotai @reclaimai. Highly recommend both. Found @NirvanaAtWork interesting. @nyootron gave me a demo; looks perfect for teams that need to collaborate a lot to ship stuff. @WintWealth and https://t.co/MQYaQJdnZ2 look interesting; haven't tried yet though.

Dylan Field (@zoink) said in an interview that this video by Bret Victor (@worrydream) inspired him while building Figma. https://t.co/YGWB9DMSkc Here's a thread🧵on how the same video inspired us to throw our MVP out the window and helped us build a 10x better product (1/10)

Both financial and operational processes will turn into code. Because guess what - they run better that way. Also, people don't want to run processes. People want to solve problems.
On-chain incorporation will turn corporate charters into code. Every shareholder vote will be performed via digital wallets. Every liquidation waterfall will be expressed as a function. The nation states that first recognize on-chain vehicles will be advantaged as domiciles.

To schedule or not to schedule? Naval actively tries to keep his calendar empty, while Marc Andreessen schedules everything he does, including his free time. We explore thoughts on scheduling from Naval, Marc and PG in this post -> https://t.co/fWpJ3YrouN

Any time we're spending on updating Jira, sending status updates, or talking about timelines is time we're not spending on building awesome products. Ergo, project management is a waste of time. We're fixing this. https://t.co/GSdZ2GOMoo

Them: "Another task management app? There are 100s! You're building another?" Us: "Are you meeting every deadline? Are people asking you when that feature will go live? Are you able to answer?" Them: "Well, not at all." Us: "Those are some of the many reasons." A thread 👇

In the 20th century, synchronous information flows were most efficient because the alternative was paper. We're in a different century now. Programming helps us create clarity without conversation. We call it Management 2.0 https://t.co/2rsa7JLZ2N
“We needed to eliminate communication, not encourage it. We needed to focus on loosely coupled interaction via machines through well-defined APIs rather than via humans through emails and meetings.”

Estimates are wrong mostly because of conflating "coding time if everything goes right" with actual delivery time. One must take into account all the tasks needed to deliver - code review, copy review, QA, data migration, etc, their dependencies, and people's existing commitments
