i use to be in that sub a lot... but a bunch of antiwork folks took over a lot of conservations regarding rental and landlords.. kinda ruined it

Had a friend who did this 20 years ago. Built a house with her BF, then broke up but had to live together for a few years before any buy out. After she insisted on marriage before her new BF could move in. Lesson learned

Had a friend who went through this. They wound up living there for an extended period of time. Luckily they weren't tied in with the purchase of the place, but they still had to move out after the break up.

THIS. Should be illegal. I often wonder how many houses are “co-owned” but it’s just the girlfriend signed on the mortgage or the girl is the primary owner with the bf co-signed
