On the 6th February 2-4pm we will relaunch our Practical Plants sessions. This is an informal practical gardening group where we will aim to identify and learn about the amazing selection of herbs and medicinal plants we have growing at Ninewells Community Garden.

If you have previously made a willow ring or would like to use any of your own decorations then please bring them along. All materials will be included and no skills or previous experience are required. All donations go into the running costs of the garden.

We've been having the most amazing Monday mornings with Sarah. She's taught us how to make some amazing Christmas Crafts and we look forward to doing the same on Monday. Join us for a cosy morning cuppa by the wood burning stove and get crafty with us.

We were having a spring clean of our drives and found these incredible Drone images from last year shot by @paul_vinova . Paul kindly sent them to us. The garden looks amazing and it shows us how many changes our hard working volunteer team have made in the last year.

A new Monday morning Craft Club will start next week and run from 10am-12pm. Volunteer Sarah will show us all how to make these amazing Christmas Angels or Bobble hat men. Get started on your Christmas crafting. Free session with all materials provided.

Tuesday 11th November. We will be hosting a remembrance ceremony and minutes silence with the hospital chaplain in the garden tomorrow morning. Join us from 10:40am. We will conclude the service with scattering of poppy seeds

A reminder that the amazing work created by Anna Rooney and Carseview patients is on show in our Leaf Room until the 10th November. Drop by Monday-Friday 10-3pm to see the pieces before they move to their permanent home within the Sensory room on the ward.

Our practical plants sessions will begin this Friday. Come and get hands on working in our medicinal garden and learn how to identify and harvest plants that will have uses in supporting your health and wellbeing. Gardening session for all abilities.

A reminder that we have a new sew and share session each Monday afternoon from 2-4pm Bring along your unfinished projects, new ideas or come and meet others for inspiration. The fire will be on and the kettle will be boiled.

This project has been supported by the SMHAF Regional Participatory Arts Fund and was designed with patients and staff from Ward 2, addressing the need for engaging tactile surfaces in the ward’s quiet room.

Anna Rooney has worked with patients and staff from the Carseview Centre to present 'Making Sense - A Collaborative Textile Exhibition' as part of this year's Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival. Oct 20th - Nov 9th - 10am - 3pm Monday - Friday.

Here's some wonderful artworks made by Invergowrie P5 class on their recent visit to the garden. An inspiration for the activities we will get up to next week in the holiday garden club. The sessions will run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 1-3pm.

Some of you may know Jek has been working with the Grow Dundee network and the V&A to grown and learn about plants for dyeing. We have some growing in our garden. If you'd like to learn more, sign up for this event in Tayport next week.
