Three more hematopathologists leaving Edmonton soon. Two to BC, one to QC. They examine blood films, read bone marrow biopsies, examine lymph node biopsies to diagnose leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders. And they teach residents. Huge loss for Alberta. 😔.

So sad to have learned of the death of Roy Miki, important poet, activist, & mentor whom I was blessed to have been in community with when I lived in YVR. Will spend time with his work this week. Sending condolences to those who knew and loved him best.
