Agreed. We urgently need legislative change, plus guidance for schools, and my Office is also working to support the delivery of both aspects of this.

These are important figures. Violence clusters. It's sometimes easy to ignore, but we shouldn't. Mental health clusters. Most were NOT known to mental health services. These are system wide and interconnected issues.

In the year since the @cscsreviewNI was published, we've seen 'activity, but not action'. This week, we're calling on the government to #GetOnWithIt - it's time to #reimagine children's social care services, and to deliver for children and families.

The findings highlight the need to: improve waiting times, expand non-pharmacological interventions, deliver the Regional Mental Health Service incorporating Primary Care MDTs, the C&V sector & Statutory services. Thanks @NicoleBond02 & @pmd_15 for all your work on this!

The issue we hear about the most from young people is #MentalHealth, which is why it’s the first action on our ‘Mini Manifesto’. Political parties need to take short and long term action to address this crisis!

We remember the many thousands of families in NI affected by cancer. The mental health consequences are a huge added burden, as Colleen & @macmillancancer highlighted so eloquently yesterday. The pathways for change have been designed. Let's make it happen.

The mental health impact of cancer can be profound -waiting for a diagnosis & treatment adds to the torment. The Cancer Strategy is the roadmap for improvement, it includes key actions on psychological services. It must be implemented in full - £145 million annually 🧵.
