The @AfrBioInstitute (ABI) poster is being presented at the ELIXIR All Hands meeting in Greece. @GA4GH staff are also attending. ABI has similar goals to ELIXIR in terms of setting up a bioinformatics infrastructure across multiple countries.

Dame Sue Hill opened the Global Genomics Education and Training Summit meeting taking place in Athens today and tomorrow. There are participants from 55 countries and 6 continents, showing global representation! We will discuss the critical need & solutions for genomics training.

The African Society for Human Genetics meeting is underway in Uganda with 400 participants, and a great line up of speakers and sessions. We are hearing of the great strides made in developing genomics capacity in Africa, but more data and training are needed! #AFSHG2025.

The 4th @DSI_Africa consortium meeting officially kicked off today in Mauritius. We will meet all week to discuss the technology, ethics and discoveries from the application of data science for health in Africa. In the opening panel all but 1 of the speakers are female :-).
