Know this folks: even my long suffering wife will admit that I HATE anyone being in the kitchen during Ramadhan. Something can be quickly rustled up after Maghrib. Right? You fasted 15hrs, you can wait an extra 15 minutes! Put that in my obituary. At least one good point innit!

As we enter the last heavy nights of Ramadhan: Ladies, your best friend is an air-fryer. Get those kids trained especially the big kid. Time is too precious now. Men, your best friend is accepting simple food. And tell your Mum and Dad the same. Time's precious for you all too.

Unpopular opinion: Folks today are more desperate for the validation of *their* practice of the Deen, than they are for moving out of existing levels of mediocrity. It did not used to be like this. Truly one of the fitnahs of our time. May Allah guide us all.

Going without food during Ramadhan is literally only tough for a day. It’s not even *close* to being your biggest challenge. *That* is reserved for how you fill your day with actual real worship and being the best version of yourself. Don’t fool yourself as the days ease by.
