A man has been charged following an incident in Leeds on Saturday in which a police van was set on fire. Hakam Ghaith, aged 29, of Sandhurst Terrace in Leeds, has been charged with arson and has been remanded to appear at Leeds magistrates today.

The Palestinian man, who speaks very limited English, remains in custody.
