We went top of the PIL tonight with a 4-2 win over Distillery. Skipper, Richard Gowdy was amongst the goals, netting the Tons 1st & hitting a super strike for the 4th. In between Stuart added to his tally since arriving in January and McGonnell got the other.

10 years ago today we recorded one of our most famous wins when we knocked Glentoran out of the Irish Cup at the Oval. Neil Quinn scored the winning goal that day. Great memories!

The Champions finished the season In style with a 5-0 win over Banbridge. 2 goals from Darren Stuart and one apiece from Conal Burns, Gazza Warwick with his 25th of the season and Ciaran Lundy sealed the win before The Ton received their Premier Intermediate League Trophy.
Aodhàn's name will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of everyone at Newington Football Club.

Newington were welcomed onto the pitch as Champions Elect by Dollingstown. Despite the celebrations, the lads were in the mood and took a 2 goal lead through Lundy and McVarnock. Dollingstown hit back with 2 goals but Fra Rice popped up with the winner and sealed the 3 points!

It was goals galore at Solitude today as Newington trounced PSNI 7-0. Two first half goals from McNicholl & Burns were followed up in the second half with another goal from Burns before Warwick, Gowdy and two from Lundy put the game well beyond doubt. Super win, super display!
