i fully understand not wanting teams to run around the floor celebrating for 2 minutes after their routine but deducting athletes for hugging or high fiving after doing something theyโve worked for their ENTIRE LIVES is beyond ridiculous.

Let's learn from this last weekend. Parents - AirTag your athletes. Sew into hair, uni, etc. Make sure your children know your phone number & if they don't write it on them. Make sure they know how to find you on at least one social media platform through a borrowed account.

If NCA wants to decrease the athletes anxiety they should get metal detectors, have bag checks, have audience security (like they do at worlds)

unfortunately i have been in an active shooter situation before this, now that the fight video is out. 1 there were no polls around & 2 the fact i heard the gun shots right next to me in the arena which is no where near the omni/convention center entrance says a lot..
