You can make locked accounts too, majority of furry instances are nsfw, kink & lgbt+ friendly. You can also lock only specific posts and post others publicly on the same account.

Why?. Mastodon is not a single service like Twitter, if an instance owner pushes bullshit on you, you can move & not lose your ability to keep in contact with others. It is designed for users to have the power and there is no owner who's goal is to make profit from users.
