You know, At first I was playing devil's advocate and treating AI like a tool. But since then all it and its users have done is show it its a net negative on art as an entire medium. This thread just made my stomach turn. "33 styles" but never anything original.

The point I'm trying to make is being an artist is like choosing the Hard mode from jump, if you have a spouse or kids it's like playing g on Heroric and Legendary. That shit is going to be hard as balls. But it's not impossible. Pick up that pencil and follow your dream.

You will have needs and they will need to be met. If you have that saved it will at least mitigate the sudden need for money we're all too familiar with. It also helps your mental to see some money in your account getting bigger ever so much.

The other part is, you're probably not going to make it big. So focus on developing your skill, learning and applying it. This isn't financial advice but when it comes to income try to save anywhere from 10-20% of what you earn for emergency. You can save more if you want.

The reality of art is you will need a 9-5 job to pay for your passion. You're only going to have roughly 3-4 hours on a weekday, and Saturday to do anything, it's not ideal but it's not, nothing. I recommend using Sunday to recharge, rest and do other things.

It's not about failing it's about how you handle failure and how you bounce back. The reason so many artists fail is due to money management, marketing, and the sheer weight of the challenge. There's no shame in having a 9-5. Your bills need to be paid.
