The worst thing about migration is that politicians see it as a quick & easy fix to difficult problems re. birth rates, productivity, growth, etc. Eg, here's a former Brit PM saying they tried to drown inflation with cheap migrants (who inflated housing costs!). Biden's people
This is really something. Boris basically saying the treasury pushed for what has become known as the ‘Boriswave’ because of inflationary wage pressures. In other words, net migration of 900k in one year to stop wage growth.
