Mary Sidney led a salon that plausibly authored the works of Shakespeare, including Francis Bacon, Edward de Vere (whose daughter married Philip and other daughter was betrothed to William), and possibly Kit Marlowe living secretly in exile in the Low Countries.

Mary Sidney wrote at least the first 17 sonnets attributed to Shakespeare. She wrote and dedicated them to her son, William Herbert. They're about wanting grandkids and heirs. @JoyceCarolOates might agree with us here.
