This way they: ▪secured the data on a decentralized network ▪used smart contracts to govern access ▪got quicker & more precise cancer diagnosis So, next time someone asks you at a party “so like, what’s the blockchain really used for?” #ETH #Blockchain

This centralization is bad because it could lead to an exploit or takeover of the data. So what’d the researchers do? They put the data from the AI models onto the Ethereum blockchain. Yup, the 2 biggest hype trains (Ethereum & A.I) have formed into one.

2) The system is centralized The researchers couldn't just run separate AI models and call it a day. They have to bring the data together under one lab. This lab controls the learning process based on all the AI models.

It’s a little something called patient confidentiality. I mean, do I really want all the researchers in the world to know my second toe is bigger than my first? So instead of sharing the raw medical data, they decided to run AI models separately and share those results instead.

1) They need a lot of data to train the AI (aka the medical history of a bunch of people) But researchers can’t just share sensitive medical data with other researchers around the world.

ETH Use Case: How the Ethereum blockchain is being used to fight cancer: Back in April, a bunch of researchers wanted to study if artificial intelligence (AI) models could help detect cancerous cells in the human body. They ran into 2 problems:

🔹ETH Liquidations Over the last 24 hours, $400m+ in ETH short positions were liquidated. These are all people that are betting against the price of ETH. But as ETH went up, they lost their bets. Liquidations are an interesting thing - they can lead to price pumps AND 3/🧵

pressure because there are no more big mining fees being paid out. In total, Ethereum has saved ~$750m in mining fees since the Merge. ETH supply going down + daily sell pressure going down = ETH price going up 🚀 2/🧵

Here's 2 Reasons why ETH is Pumping: 🔹ETH supply continues to decrease + less daily selling pressure. Since Oct 8th, ETH supply has quietly decreased by ~12,000 ETH (~$18.5m). It’s about to hit the same levels as before the Merge. Also, there’s a lot less selling 1/🧵

Bugs And although ETH is one of the most reliable blockchain networks around, you should still be aware that if there are any bugs. You may lose some or, all of your ETH in the case of an extreme bug. Be aware that they are a possibility. That being said, there are tons of..

Although there are ways to stake Ether on exchanges, which would make them more liquid, doing so does not directly support the network or decentralization in general. 5/7

If you believe that cryptocurrencies will be the future & are planning to hold onto it long term, running a validator node might be your choice. If you plan to hold ethereum for 5+ years, you have good incentives to do so with the rewards involved. 4/7

Liquidation Another possible risk is a lack of liquidation. You'll not be able to withdraw your earned ETH & your staked ETH until ETH 2.0 is launched, 2 years or possibly longer. If you're planning to sell ETH in this bull run or the next, then this might not sit well with you.

What will be ETH 2.0’s value? If ETH 2.0’s value is incredibly high, you should still take note that it is unknown as of this point & will likely be different than Ether. But if you’re confident then you should be good to run a validator node & it will be beneficial later on.
