This is a horrible situation that’s ongoing. It sounds like a brush fire was set to lure firefighters to the scene. A sniper, or possibly multiple snipers, have killed 2 firefighters with unknown multiple people injured or possibly dead. Firefighters and police are pinned down.
Authorities in Idaho said a group of firefighters were attacked in an “active shooter situation" while they were responding to a blaze in the northern part of the state.

This isn’t for Santa Cruz County but we still have to be fire wise and be careful, we saw what happened yesterday at Natural Bridges.

If you’re in Santa Cruz, I strongly urge you to avoid Ocean St between Water and Soquel as the entire stretch is filled with people. It’s all peaceful, except for the one giant pickup that struck someone. The pedestrian is okay and police have my photo of the trucks license plate.
