my lil brother (15) told me he’s depressed. i asked him what he needs and he said, “i need help, i need therapy” so i signed him up + his first appointment is 10/12. he said i make him feel safe + he wants me to come home so i’m flying home next weekend. i’m so proud of him.

The "How do you stage that?" Question really excites me. It's been hard finding plays or pitching my own plays with this question at its centre - but I don't think I'm gonna change. I don't want to. I think that's when theatre is really alive for me when I ask that question.

Loved watching Trouble in Butetown yesterday evening. An interesting look into Tiger Bay, Cardiff, one of Britain’s first multi-ethnic communities. A fantastic cast that drew us into their world of community, sacrifice and love. Brilliant writing from Diana Nneka Atuona. 🤲🏿
