Today’s early #Jubilee celebrations for @Nursery_MCA involved plenty of facts, flags and fun! For one thing, we now know the Queen is 96 years old (and what that would look like in pieces of macaroni) There’s always a way to make maths fun in #EYFS…messy, but fun

Barney’s sent a postcard to her #EYFS friends on #Tapestry She’d love it if you would read it to your child & if they could try & write her a reply All of our Reception children are so good with their phonics, Barney’s sure she can make out their own phonetic spelling attempts
Day 7 - Well done to O, who has tracked Barney down to Thailand. Today she felt very adventurous, and had a go at snorkelling. She saw so many beautiful 🐠 & even a sea 🐢 Can you remember what we’ve learned about plastic & the oceans? Can you help Barney learn what to do?

Day 6 - Today Barney found a shopping centre It wasn’t her 1st choice of holiday fun, but it had air-conditioning & she soooo hot! She found a book by her favourite author that she hadn’t read. But she can’t understand the words Can you help work out what language it is?

Day 5 - Barney’s finally made it to the beach! Some good guesses so far, but none correct. You have narrowed it down to the right continent though - ASIA The water was beautiful today. Barney was a little too scared to go in, but she did see a seahorse right at the shoreline

Day 4…I think…not sure now. Maybe day 2 & 3 rolled into 1 Anyway, Barney’s been looking forward to today for ages - well, Mr White has, so Barney had to come along too! More photos coming for today, but does this video have any clues to help you work out where Barney is?

Day 2 - travel day…still Barney’s finally arrived! Clues for today: - it took a total of 39 hours from door to door, - English is not the 1st language, - the elephant lamp is the only elephant she’s seen…so far Barney needs some rest now. I can’t wait 4 her 1st day exploring

Barney’s holiday has begun She’s said farewell to friends, taken 2 taxis 3 trains & is tucked up in bed ready for her final travel leg tomorrow She’ll be posting daily clues as to where she is & sending postcards on Tapestry Can you work out where she is & write her a reply?
