For Thomas & Friendsā 40th anniversary, Iād like to talk about how it has influenced me to pursue a career in Civil Engineering and work on my own versions of its iconic locations. Itās brought me a lot of happiness in times I needed it and there will never be anything like it.

Happy 85th birthday to Christopher Awdry! Did you know? According to Sodor: Reading Between the Lines, he didn't like how the Fat Controller was referred to by his proper name in the US, Sir Topham Hatt. He felt the charm of the character was lost.

I havenāt made Tidmouth Hault, Crovans Gate, or Vicarstown, maybe thatāll change idk. Canāt thing of any other reoccurring standard gauge station atm.

I took out some of my stations out of storage (cleaned them up and replaced some decals that were falling apart) Iām pretty sure I laid most of the standard gauge stations in the show atp (not pictured are Knapford, Lower Suddery and Harwick)

The only other bad thing Iāll say is that it kinda sucks that they reused the AEG chassis because damn, the small engines and especially the tender engines couldāve benefited a lot from it

Iām kind of mixed on this toy. On one hand it kind of sucks that the aesthetic of the motorized toys has changed. But in the other hand wow this is actually a really good toy, like I would love the hell out of it as a kid and I think thatās what matters tbh

The main thing Iām curious about is how tf did some 20 year old get 14 grand to drop on a Thomas prop.
Really mixed on this use of an official prop. On one hand, yes it looks incredibly jarring but on the other hand, I love how Colin is actually being used rather than him being in storage where no one sees him.
