At #UFC317, Joshua Van became the fastest fighter to cross 1,000 significant strikes landed in the octagon. He still has a long way to go to catch Max Holloway, but he is landing strikes at a rate not yet seen before among any #UFC fighters after ~2 hours of octagon time.

Agreed, Van is also absorbing strikes at an alarming rate. Though to be fair, his fight with Royval did bend the curve noticeably.
