So far this summer he’s been up to 94mph and averaging 90-92 in all of his bullpens and it’s rare to see him miss a spot ➡️ it’s time to transfer that into a game now!.

We needed to make a change both physically and mentally to get the most out of his body. This past season at University of Charleston, Fletcher sat upper 80’s- low 90’s and ended with a 5.63 ERA through 16IP with only 3BB, 2HBP and 12K.

6’8” pitcher Devin Fletcher popped a 94 last week and has flipped his career upside down over the last year ⬇️. Fletch came in summer of 2024 mid-upper 80’s out of Juco with a 25.50 ERA through 6IP with 13BB and 6HBP

➡️ Allows for the spine to move dynamically and teaches timing for rib flare. ➡️ Teaches the body how to pull slack out of the system to time up the arm with the rest of the sequence.

Static Jump throws are a great way to start your Plyo/long toss routine ⬇️. ➡️ Primes/preps the fascial system (connective tissue). ➡️ Encourages reciprocal movement (have to move reciprocally to move efficiently). ➡️ Teaches automatic decel patterns. ⬇️

📍Note on getting lost: The back hip needs to anchor with a co-contraction to allow for the rest of the body to stretch/release off of it. Some guys may require a bigger or smaller counter move (lateral pelvic tilt/side bend, counter rotation, etc.). @FullRepsTC.

➡️ The body needs to move reciprocally (this is one of the basis for efficient movement) —> how can we connect the functional front (fascial line) while moving down the mound without getting lost.

➡️ Timing of pulse -> The athlete creates large counter moves, how can we shorten the body’s response to creating a stretch (effectively reactive).

The issue with this is when it doesn’t time up you’re left with a baseball flying over the batters head. Some things to look into while program designing ⬇️.

Each athlete has their own way of removing slack —> some (like @bradenleed ) create massive amounts of counter rotation through the midsection to assist in pulling slack out and ultimately create tension reciprocally. 🧵 ⬇️

2) I didn’t have anyone to play catch with so I didn’t throw. Go find a net, a random field, a fence, a wall, etc. there is always a place to throw. 90% of my TJ return to throw was done into a cage at a little league field or in an Oats throwing sock.

1) I don’t have a catcher so I can’t throw a bullpen. Here’s one of our pro athletes at a random field in Colorado (somewhere he’s never been before) getting his work in. No catch play partner, no catcher, only 5 baseballs and an L-screen. If there’s a will there’s a way.

What’s the softest excuse you’ve heard from an athlete & how would you resolve it? (Instead of bashing them, let’s give them an example on what to do). Here’s mine:. ⬇️⬇️.
