Social housing residents on low incomes are especially vulnerable to energy price rises. The govt must commit to its manifesto pledges on funding to make #SocialHousing more energy efficient. This is the only long-term solution to making our homes affordable to heat.

Our research out today in The Guardian shows the far-reaching consequences of cuts to #SupportedHousing. People with support needs deserve the opportunity to live healthy, happy and independent lives. We need a long-term funding and #PlanForHousing 👉 https://t.co/dHLTx8CvmQ

"We welcome @UKLabour's commitment to tackling the #HousingCrisis" @KateNHF on @BBCBreakfast discussing the importance of planning reforms & housing targets. To achieve the 1.5mill homes target, we need long-term funding & support for #SocialHousing at the next spending review.

Positive conversation with @AlexJJNorris and @mhclg earlier this week. The NHF are committed to working in collaboration with government on remediation. However more funding is needed to ensure that money is not diverted from existing residents and new #SocialHousing

Minister @AlexJJNorris met social housing providers and regulators this week to discuss how we can work together to accelerate remediation of social housing. Residents deserve to feel safe. All of us - social landlords, regulators and government - have a part to play.

The effects of the housing crisis in rural areas are sometimes less discussed in the wider national narrative, so it's fantastic to see three pieces this week showing why a #PlanForHousing is so crucial for these communities, and some of the policy changes which might help 🧵

We welcome this boost to the affordable homes programme, which we've been urgently calling for. This vital top-up will help prevent a collapse in delivery of much needed #SocialHousing We look forward to a long-term housing strategy & funding at the next spending review. 🏘️

The government is acting to protect our social housing stock and build more affordable homes. This weekend we've announced: ✅A £500m top-up to the Affordable Homes Programme. ✅A reduction of Right to Buy discounts. ✅Allowing councils to retain 100% of Right to Buy receipts.
