When it comes to harm, let’s shift the responsibility to the right place please, and that’s not on girls and women’s existence, but on the behaviors society tolerates in boys and men.🤦♀️ The real solution here should be to teach boys what consent and accountability really mean
This thing of people not wanting to have daughters because they will potentially be abused, is just misogyny. You can’t wish that girls won’t be born just because they can be abused. Have them, inform them & protect them as you can, that’s the parental role.

My deepest condolences, Nash! ❤️
On Wednesday, at exactly 4 a.m, my dad took his final breath. What a man! In my early years, my father was the provider and my mother, the homemaker. This arrangement seemed to work well, at least for the adults. But for me, as a child, his long absences didn’t make sense.

@NashBishumba @JujuLaBelle He was truly one of the kindest souls 💛. And one day, those of us who knew him from afar, yet felt close to him through the people he loved, will share our stories about how his kindness brightened our lives. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
