Early each morning since we were married ten years ago, my precious husband has texted me a few verses from his time in the Word. Then he tweets one of those verses. Last Tuesday, he posted this tweet. The next morning he was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia.

Oh Lord, anoint our pastors with the oil of Your Spirit as they stand to preach today. And give us ears to hear, eyes to behold, and hearts to adore Christ. May we tremble at the wonder of Your Word as it is proclaimed.

Thank God, often and always. Pride and gloom do not grow easily in a thankful heart.
