Stefan was one of my PhD supervisors - highly recommend working with him! ☺️.
🔜 I’ll be recruiting a number of post-docs and Phd students to my new group in Berlin. If interested and keen on vaccine epidemiology, global health and disease dynamics, including eg modelling, stats, RSV, Pneumo, Dengue, pandemic preparedness, please get in touch.

Fun to win a prize with a great team!😃. We looked at MIC values across ages, sex, bug-drugs and much more to see what the implications could be for infection routes. Conclusion: Many interesting trends + MIC data is underused!. See our report:
Myself and my fantastic team from @LSHTM have been awarded the 'Runner-Up Innovation Prize' by Vivli and Wellcome for our analysis of evolutionary dynamics using multinational MIC distributions. 👩🔬The team: @gmknght @N_R_Waterlow @NaomiMFuller and Alastair Clements.

Thanks to co-authors @bugwonk, @JVRobotham and @gmknght and @ECDC_EU for data access. But of course biggest thanks to all the individuals at country-level who contributed to this dataset and made the analysis possible. (6/6).

We highlight the need for a better grasp of variation in AMR by demographics. Our #1 conclusion: AGE MATTERS! And sex somewhat too!.Collecting, publishing and analysing AMR data within countries and across demographic factors will help us understand AMR and its development. (5/6).
