Check out the article that @Amy_L_Toth and I wrote for @ConversationEDU about our recent pub (w/ Erin McCall) in J Econ Entomol. I'm hopeful to take advantage of the wasps already in the Pacific now! https://t.co/rEo4RSYW6P

Research shows wasps are active and useful predators of caterpillars on crop plants, but we need to know more about their full biocontrol potential.

Biocontrol of thistles is a great idea. We just need to make sure that our beetles don't like munching less prickly species better. A new @ecolincnz article at https://t.co/zHeIQZA4pk

Dr Aola Richards was the first woman to be awarded a PhD in Biological Sciences in New Zealand, for which she studied cave wētā. She was a pioneer of entomology, both here in New Zealand and Australia, describing countless species during her lifetime.

Trailblazing entomologist Dr Aola Richards left behind more than her trove of research on cave wētā. She also donated tens of millions of dollars so future students could carry on her work.

So I'm in the yarden, and I see these beautiful caterpillars on my kowhai. "Kowhai moths?!?" I wonder. So https://t.co/0G5EGqn5cZ to the rescue! Kowhai moths indeed. They can stay. Check out that webbing. So cool. @MBNZTorg @NZEntoSoc @Zoology_Otago @OtagoEntoSoc
