Today is our Director's last day as our colleague. We wish him the best! Thank you for your years of service and dedication to the Tenant Protection agenda in NYC!
Today is my last day as Director of the NYC Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants @NYCMOPT. What an honor has been to be a public servant for all NYers (and tenants!), and to work alongside all my dedicated colleagues from @nycgov. I will cherish every moment, very close to my heart.

It is illegal for someone to pressure or force you to leave your home. Do not self-evict! Call 311 and ask for the Tenant Helpline to get free legal advice, including information on how to complete the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) application.

A first-in-decades for sure, if not the first one, that surely reflects that @NYCMOPT & this Admin won’t tolerate illegal evictions and harassment. This is the result of our City inter-agency coordination & our partnership w/ AG, to make sure landlords in NYC are held accountable

Today, @NYCMayor and I took down two slumlords who were grossly mistreating New York tenants and running illegal short-term rentals. Gennaro Brooks-Church and Loretta Gendville will surrender their $2 million property and it will be used for affordable housing.

This sends a clear message to slumlords: you won't get away with putting tenants at risk in our city. I thank @NewYorkStateAG for her continued partnership and fighting every day to protect New York City’s tenants.
