Tropical Depression 01W has formed northwest of Koror οΏΌ in the Republic of Palau. This tropical depression is expected to gradually strengthen into a tropical storm during the next 24 hours, as it remains over the open ocean of the west Pacific. οΏΌ

Weβre starting to see an increase in showers east of Guam and Rota. This should work its way into these areas later this morning and into the afternoon. Farther north at Tinian and Saipan look for just isolated showers today to be the most we can hope for.

A Flood Advisory is in effect through 3:45 PM as additional heavy showers move northwest over central and southern portions of Guam. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen this hour, with 2-4 inches since noon having been observed.

The Flood Advisory has been upgraded to a Flash Flood Warning. Automated gauges near Cross Island Road have measured 1.9 inches of rainfall over the past hour. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches remain possible and may prolong any potential flooding.

JTWC has issued a TCFA for Invest 90W, which is expected to consolidate as it moves northwest, near or south of the Marianas, bringing heavy rains and strong winds to Guam, Rota, and the outer islands of Yap and Chuuk State through the latter half of the week. #guwx
