After our brief wintry mix event this morning, precipitation will fall as rain for the rest of the week. Our five day outlook for the area features daily chances for rain amid warming temperatures.

Webcams from around the area this morning are starting to show precipitation reaching down onto the roadways. Pavement and surface temperatures will remain conducive for freezing rain over the next few hours so use caution while driving this morning.

A quick hitting system will bring the return of precipitation Tuesday morning, some of which could fall as snow during the morning commute. While accumulations are not anticipated, slick roadways may impose some hazardous travel throughout the day.
