Bargain or fraud?
Sometimes it can be hard to tell.
Protect your money and information by only using retailers you trust, or authorised sellers named on official websites when shopping for deals online.

Purchase fraud is when a criminal tricks you into paying for goods or services that don’t exist.
They advertise fake websites online, to trick you into parting with your money.
Be wary of ‘too good to be true’ offers and always research the company you’re buying from first.
An invoice scam is when a criminal impersonates a trusted supplier by providing you with new or amended bank details.
Always confirm bank details with your service provider before any payment is made. Always question why their payment method has changed.
