The PERMIT Act will let largescale polluters off the hook for trashing our waters, leaving us to pick up the tab. If it becomes law, it will pollute our drinking water, compromise our health, put more communities at risk of floods, and ruin the places we swim or fish.

Trump’s EPA is set to further gut the Clean Water Act—putting up to 970,000 acres of Illinois wetlands at risk. These wetlands protect IL communities from flooding. With no federal protections, and cuts to FEMA, Illinois must act now and pass the Wetlands Protection Act.
