Yesterday a NHP Trooper on patrol saw something in the left shoulder. He circled back and found a American Flag. The Trooper who is also a military veteran retrieved the flag and took it to a local American Legion Lodge so the flag could have a proper retirement ceremony. 🇺🇸

Today we stopped a local funereal home hearse in the HOV lane. The driver had the dearly departed in the back, he thought the deceased could be counted as two people. I guess we should clarify this, living, breathing people count for the HOV lane. The driver was given a warning

This car was cut off by a reckless driver on US95. The vehicle pictured ran off the road and rolled several times. All 3 occupants were wearing seatbelts and received only minor cuts and scratches from the glass. Wear your seatbelt, everytime!

So apparently this persons time is more valuable then everyone else’s because he was pulled over for using the shoulder as a travel lane. Looking at the plate we can’t say we are surprised. Troopers are on the road down in Primm to prevent as much of this as we can.

This morning Trooper Faul saw this little guy on the shoulder on I-15 and D Street. She was able to coral the kitten. The cat will be going to the animal shelter to check for a chip. If no chip the kitten will be available for adoption.

Today one of our Troopers found this little cutie running around on Rainbow Blvd. Our Trooper was able to catch the scared pup and it keep it from being struck by any vehicles. A few hours later we received word Bambi was reunited with her humans. All in a days work. #🐾

Today on the US95/Ann this vehicle rolled over multiple times and came to rest on its side. Inside was a mom and dad, a 4 year old and a 18 month old, both children were restrained in properly installed car seats and mom and dad were wearing seatbelts. Not one injury reported.

This morning around 5am graveyard Sgt Jason Buratczuk successfully deployed Stop Sticks to stop a wrong driver on the I-15 in Las Vegas. The successful deployment quickly brought a potentially deadly situation to a quick end. No injuries were reported.

There’s no way to sugar coat it, if your driving to California be ready for the traffic. Traffic is already backed up 16 miles from Primm. We have Troopers already writing those folks who think it’s okay to drive in the shoulder. That’s a $200 fine, points, increased insurance.
