I didn’t learn about money when I had it—I learned when I didn’t. Working at 3 financial institutions showed me both sides of the coin: how money works and how it's marketed to you. That’s why I’m so passionate about simplifying financial planning for everyone.

I think I need to add ā€œas seen on @GMAā€ to my website and media kit. I didn’t know when it was airing, but I’m grateful someone got a picture of me talking about ā€œCash Only Weekendsā€ to help with your budget and cash flow! Thank you, more please!šŸ™ŒšŸ¾

My Millennial heart was happy with that 20 year shuffle of performances! Whew — a time in music! Hopefully the BET Awards keeps this vibe the whole show! #BETAwards

Economists watch interest rates. You watch your account say ā€œpending deposit.ā€ Yeaaah — • paycheck to paycheck feels like paycheck to Monday • Credit card balances creep up • You need a payment plan for fast food • Side gigs turn into survival gigs Side quests are a must!

Forget the Fed. Here are some real recession indicators: - Black Eyed Peas are back on tour - Pack hair is flying off the shelves - Groceries are going on Afterpay - Dollar Tree = A couple dollars store - Convenience fees for bills that didn’t need to appear. Hashtag only, huh

ā€œLooks at bank account… yup, that’s my recession indicator.ā€ If Monica & Brandy are going on tour together… If Buy Now Pay Later turns into Can’t Pay Later… Some of us are already in our own version of a recession. 🧵

Zillow just reported monthly home value drops in 27/50 states. This is no longer just a Texas/Florida downturn.

I let lifestyle creep run me. Not TLC either. Even when I made more, I spent more—thinking I had ā€œroom.ā€ Swiper was swiping. Now? I treat saving like a bill. I track my money every 2 weeks. And I read my benefits—because you can’t grow what you don’t understand.

Emergency fund? Who? Whet?! I didn’t negotiate severance. I didn’t tax plan. And my unemployment? Took months. It was the trenches. So I panicked and cashed out my retirement early early. Wasn’t much in there to start with. IF I had 1 month saved?! Babyyeee.

I thought I had a budget. Nah. I had vibes not even a spreadsheet. Plus my parents taught me about money. At $10.71/hr, I was trying—but not planning. When I got laid off, everything fell apart. I would've told myself: bish stop playing & build a budget that works. Shit.

Mind you, this was from my 20s — This ain’t ā€œstop buying Starbucks.ā€ My f*ck ups were real: 🚫 No emergency fund 🧾 A budget that didn’t budget šŸ‘€ Not tracking spending šŸ›ļø Lifestyle creep šŸ“‘ Not even checking my job benefits All while acting like I had it handled…

I learned about money when I didn’t have any. Like…unemployment delayed, retirement CASHED out, overdraft life—none. So I made a video breaking down 5 of my biggest money f*ck ups šŸ‘‡šŸ¾ And what I’d tell my 20/30-something self if I could run it back. Chile..
