If you have money to invest in defense technologies, do it in Ukraine. As @KubiliusA rightly says, “Forget Silicon Valley; that's the past. Ukraine is the future.” As I have often written (chapter 7 of my latest book), Ukraine is the nation of the future. https://t.co/OKS1XjxyB8

As always, I fully agree with @alexstubb. It should be all EU leaders' official statement. 1 Rape, torture, deportations, summary executions, and the enrollment of Ukrainian children are a daily occurrence there. 2 Leaving these territories to russia would threaten our security.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb today: "I can tell you one thing: Finland will never accept the annexation of Ukrainian territories to russia, whether it is the Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk."

Exactly this. Sorry for repeating: high time to stop de-escalating. If we want to defeat russia—we must do so for our security and the future of generations to come—we must even escalate, disproportionately if necessary. It's a matter of life and death. Period.
Russia escalates, we do nothing, Russia escalates more, we do nothing, Russia escalates even more, we do nothing... guys, I think I am starting to see a pattern here.

For the security posture, indeed, and let's start with the beginning: "Mr. President, tear down this plane!" (The original quote remains valid, by the way).
I strongly condemn the incursions of Russian aircraft into Estonia. They represent yet another step in Russia’s accumulation of provocations and irresponsible actions. I extend my full support to the Estonian authorities. A security posture will be adopted in response

The solution is well known: it was used by Turkey on November 24, 2015. “Deep concerns” are useless. The other NATO countries must act in the same way as soon as this happens again. Otherwise, russia will continue and go further. Such a response is the key to credible deterrence.
Today's violation of Estonia's airspace by Russian military aircraft is an extremely dangerous provocation. This marks the third such violation of EU airspace in days and further escalates tensions in the region. The EU stands in full solidarity with Estonia (1/2)

The reality is that the Ukrainians will win. I've written this many times over the past years: they'll win on their own, through their intelligence and courage. They'll regain their territory and drive the russian enemy out of their land. They'll have saved Europe despite itself.
We are now conducting one of our counter-offensive operations at the Donetsk direction – in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas. Russian losses just since the start of this counter-offensive – in the Pokrovsk area alone, in these past weeks – are already more than 2,500, of which

In this 147th long read on my strategy blog, I discuss the issue of risk, specifically the risk of war, but even more so of “non-war,” strategically, in terms of shifts in the balance of power, as well as for open liberal societies — and humanity itself. https://t.co/RfY9OYiWlc

Or, to put it philosophically, in homage to the philosopher from Königsberg: Makes the World Kantian Again. (I wouldn't necessarily state that I'm very optimistic about this, nor that there has ever been a time when the world has been so).

It was actually also one of the points I emphasized on in my last essay on my international relations blog, even though I went even further by analyzing the consequences of non-intervention on the public mind in liberal societies. https://t.co/RfY9OYiWlc

Another excellent point from @sikorskiradek. All in all, what I have been writing since February 24, 2022: you can never win a war if you aren't prepared to take the risk of fighting it. Otherwise, get ready for an even heavier and riskier war. Statesmanship requires action now.
Sadly, truth: Polish FM Sikorski — “Security guarantees for Ukraine mean being ready to fight russia. Whoever wants to fight russia can start now — but I don’t see anyone willing.” Because the world still thinks it’s not their war.

Very happy to hear that @sikorskiradek supports the idea of intercepting russian drones and missiles flying over Ukraine. That was the whole point of our #SkyShieldNow appeal, which has already gathered more than 50,000 signatures in France. Time is running out. We must act. Now.
⚡️Polish FM Sikorski says NATO and EU should consider intercepting Russian drones and missiles over Ukraine.

Unbelievable. Incomprehensible that this russian drone, which flew over Romania for 50 mn, wasn't shot down as soon as it was spotted and was allowed to return quietly to Ukraine to kill. Any russian drone or missile must be shot down, along with its launcher, wherever it may be.
Today, Romania scrambled combat aircraft because of a Russian drone in its airspace. According to current data, the drone penetrated about 10 kilometers into Romanian territory and operated in NATO airspace for around 50 minutes. Also today, Poland responded militarily to the
