Volunteer Ranger, James Rainey has been supporting our fungal surveys this autumn & has recorded 8 species of Waxcap fungi on the South Moor pasture. This Fungi are an indicator of longstanding, and healthy grassland or ‘permanent pasture’. 📸JR #biodiversity #fungi #waxcap

We're on the #biomass production run again. This time it's the oversize Sycamoor & Ash. thinnings from McCombes Hill (just above the lake) and Temple Hill. We need the big machine! All this will supply the house with all its heat and hotwater needs. #mountstewartmoment
