Safe to say, @NaplesHS alum Johnny King (@johnnyhking4) couldn’t have asked for a better first full season in pro ball. His 16.2 K/9 ratio leads the minor leagues, and has pitched to a 1.40 ERA in the FCL and Low-A Dunedin. My profile on King:.

King was a two-time SWFL Baseball Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024 at Naples, and was a third round draft pick by the Toronto Blue Jays last year.

Johnny King wins the battle against Twins first round pick Marek Houston in the bottom of the fifth. An excellent start for the @NaplesHS alum, with a final line of 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K. King generated plenty of swings and misses in his homecoming to SWFL.
