That said, I'd be skeptical that all these links are really coming from the Pels.
About to record the show but two quick thoughts:. Jonathan Kuminga is a VERY Joe Dumars type of move even if the fit might be wonky. A trade is TOUGH, but not impossible, to figure out with Base Year Compensation potentially in play.

Personally, I'm fine giving up Hawkins but much less so Herb (and far, far, far less so Trey).
@NOLAJake If they give up hawk, this is not a good trade.

Trying to find a Kuminga sign and trade for the Pelicans while staying under the luxury tax and without giving up guys like Trey Murphy (and Herb Jones) is complicated to say the least.

I've been far less negative about draft night than probably anyone else.
@NOLAJake Jake you would’ve said something negative either way. Either the Bucks pick or the Pacers pick would’ve came out your mouth to make your point. Plus the Pels own pick would’ve came be your ace in the hole. Let’s move on towards building this franchise up.

The Bucks need to clear like 4 ish million to sign Turner? Hawkins or Jose for Pat Connaughton about does it? With some draft picks to the Pels?.

Yes. But what if it's now 5? That wasn't a realistic possibility to me previously. Now it is. That said, Joe Dumars, Troy Weaver had no way to expect any of this. It's a hindsight 20/20 thing.
@NOLAJake The pick was 1-4 Protected in 2026 and 2027. So if they tank and we’re in the top 4. We wouldn’t get it.

WOAH! Now THIS makes the Pelicans/Pacers pick trade look far far worse than just the Halliburton injury.
Turner, the longest tenured Pacer, made it known he wished to remain in Indiana. Since the Game 7 exit, Turner’s reps pushed to get a deal done. Ultimately, Indiana’s aversion to the tax, which grew after Tyrese Haliburton’s injury, allowed Bucks to get the new franchise center.
