NNSW was born out of the 1st National Conference of Sex Workers in India in 1997. It has over 150,000 Sex Workers from 63 organisations in 8 states of India!

A Coalition of lawyers, human rights, women’ rights, child rights and labour rights activists have been voicing their strong protest over the Trafficking in Persons (Prevention, Care, and Rehabilitation) Bill 2021 slated to be introduced in the upcoming session of the Parliament.

Our beloved @AarthiPai also steps down as Technical Advisor to the Board. We thank her for 14 years of tireless mentorship to all NNSW leadership. She is succeeded by @TSevekari, assisted by @SIAAP_India's K. Swaminathan, & our Network Coordinator from @SanghSaheli Vanita Mane.
