Congrats to NMXC senior Brayden Hawk for receiving an academic scholarship to attend Davidson College, one of the most elite private colleges in the U.S. The cost of attendance at Davidson is $81,000 per year, so Brayden’s full scholarship will be over $320,000. Go, Brayden!

Congrats to boys’ XC team for finishing 3rd at District 3 XC meet and moving on to Regionals. DJ Johnson, Brayden Hawk and Allan Rojas medaled, finishing 10th, 12th, and 14th overall. On the girls’ side, Chloe Fields was the # 2 individual qualifier and finished 10th overall.

NEW 5K SCHOOL RECORD AT FHSAA STATE XC MEET. Byiza Ntozo ended his first cross country season at the state finals with a bang, breaking his school record by 22 secs. His 16:21 (17th place) was the fastest time by any Marion Country runner at the state meet across all divisions.
