NMRL members recently presented at the 2024 APS Integrative Physiology of Exercise conference at Penn State. Dr. Kristen Koltun was an invited speaker, joined by Dr. Adam Sterczala and Jenna Goulart for oral presentations. Dr. Chris Kargl and Evan Feigal presented posters.

Dr. Suchomel recently presented at the 10th Anniversary SSCA Workshop in Switzerland, covering plyometric training progressions. He also spoke at the 2024 NSCA Kentucky State Clinic on using accentuated eccentric loading for hypertrophy, strength, & power.

Lily Rosenblum and Bobby Rawls presented at a Vald Tactical conference in Charlotte, NC. Lily shared her work with the MCMWTC about inter-limb asymmetry and performance in Mountain Leader Courses. Bobby presented about his work developing a battery to measure performance changes.

Congrats to Jennifer Forse, a 3rd-year PhD student, for being one of 10 early career investigators selected to give a flash talk at the NIH workshop on "Advancing the Biomedical Science of Resilience." She presented our work on psychological resilience with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Nicole Sekel was awarded the Young Investigator's Award by the ACSM Bone Interest Group for her abstract titled "Adaptations in Bone Density and Body Composition Following 12-weeks of Concurrent Military-relevant Training." She received a $500 prize after presenting at the ACSM.
