Grateful for our MCMS member Dr.Ed Lowe providing this rich history. As a resident, he would attend grand rounds at @ColumbiaPS where Dr. Maynard would engage trainees. Dr. Maynard, Director of Surgery at Harlem Hospital, successfully operated on Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1958.

It’s tough to have a work holiday, when you don’t have a job! That’s which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. Let’s continue to keep hope alive and be even more proactive!

I encourage us all to stay vigilant and recommit ourselves to paying it forward to encourage and support our youth to pursue higher education and hopefully medical education rather than being satisfied with the Juneteenth Holiday and legalization of marijuana.

Burial will take place Thursday, June 22nd at Rose Hill Cemetery located at 792 E. Edgar Rd, Linden NJ, 07036. The casket will leave the Frank Bell Funeral Home at 9:30am.

The viewing will take place from 8-10am. The funeral service will begin at 11am. *There will be a livestream link for the funeral service for those who want to attend virtually. We are still waiting for the stream link information; an update will be sent.
