2 - Clearly, there is much work to be done to promote Dr. Maloneâs vision. However, despite the harm inflicted, her purpose, activism, intentionality, and joy continues to be inspirational.
Celeste, along with other Black leaders in school psychology,  are doing amazing work, as evidenced by so much of what is making this convention exciting and meaningful. We are outraged and stand in solidarity with Celeste and the Black community. 3/

Please see the statements from @nasponline about a racist incident that occurred at the Denver Annual Convention where 5600 school psychologists were meeting together to celebrate Dr. Celeste Maloneâs Presidential theme âRadical Hope, Authentic Healingâ - 1
NASP wants to acknowledge publicly that a totally unacceptable and harmful incident occurred last night in the Hyatt hotel that directly affected President Celeste Malone, her friends, colleagues, and family, and by extension the Black community. 1/

1 of 2 Diversity does not equal inclusion. Non-discriminatory organizations need to focus not only on diversity but on the intentional, reflective work that cultivates true inclusive belonging for our multicultural, minoritized members.
